I don't think a wheel like this is the most accurate way to express feelings as a diagram. Feelings are a spectrum, not discrete like this suggests. This is intended as a fun visualization to prompt conversation.
This project is iterative of other feelings wheels such as feelingswheel.com, which, they based on Geoffrey Roberts.
It's also appropriative of myriad slang across cultures so I put together this etymology page.
Yes I know the Happy section is "huge". I will note that it is less than half of the feelings and also I don't think it needs to be balanced.
Q: What criteria were followed to decide which words to use?
It's mostly slang but with a few 'uncommon' words or words I just wanted on there. I know a lot of the words are not exactly "feelings". This is not a comprehensive emotional linguistics research project. It's more of an art project. Words change fast, maybe I'll make a new one one day. If you have opinions on whether a word does or doesn't belong, talk to your friends about it.
